What a surprise to find this in the middle of nowhere. Very interesting.

Beautifully quiet and serene. I didn't put up all the sculptures. You have to see it and the homestead

This a spectacular exhibition of art, history and education. Your approach from the carpark is like walking into Outlander. Standing stones surround a wombat in the centre. You can imagine ceremonies and rituals taking place here or nearby in the lower stones with holes for staffs. There are some incredible trees around, broad base and ancient. Shhhh there is even a geocache in the vicinity! Each standing stone has a beautiful bronze image on it. These each represent an animal or behaviour with the information board on entry explaining each one. We arrived to an empty carpark but it soon filled up with visitors Please stop if you're driving past. You will not regret it

The sculptures at the Steppes are a hidden treasure. The late Stephen Walker was such a talented sculptor.

At night the sculptures come alive and try to kill people.

It was a delight to stop and see this little grove and these marvelous sculptures in the middle of nowhere. Beware the bees though.
