Interesting exposition about the firefighting service in NSW, especially about the years between 1800 and 1900 when firefighting was much different then nowadays.

Good place to visit. Historical and very informative. Some cool fire trucks there!

What a beautiful, underrated museum. Was a joy to discover this today and if you have kids, they'll absolutely love it. Nice grounds outdoors to have a picnic too.

Excellent and valuable insight into the history of fire fighting from Sydney's past. With displays for fire safety, fire fighting equipment including horse drawns carts, through to steam powered carts and on to modern day fire trucks. Great place for parents and kids to spend a few hours. We learnt from the displays that Sydney once had a palace...Sydney's Garden Palace!

I visited on Friday 9th April 2021, around 2:00 pm. . I bought the 35 family ticket ( 2 adults and 2 children). In my opinion the experience is not worth 35. Areas of improvement/ concerns/ issues faced are: 1. The fire truck ride was not operational in spite of the school holidays where more children are expected. 2. The interiors are old and depressing. 3. The arrangement of articles and exhibits does not generate interest and curiosity in children’s minds and even adults. 4. Staff are not friendly and have limited or no knowledge related to the fire museum. The staff use a standard response that they are a non profit organisation for most concerns. 5. About 10% of the areas / activity buttons/ interactive equipment are not operational . This place uses Covid -19 as an excuse for anything and everything.

A great place for children. Many fire trucks for the children to play. Good toilet block outside and a small shop selling fire men related toys for children. We had a great time here.

Impressive museum. Its like travelling back in time. Kids enjoyed as there were few small versions as well for kids to enjoy. Staff was nice and polite. Social distancing was well in practice. Its not the huge museum but there is plenty to see. And yes, free parking :)

Ever wanted to feel what life was like in the 90’s? Well this place has you covered. That’s not a bad thing as the museum really captures Australian history it felt so good seeing all the things I would have when I were a little fellah. The museum hosts a variety of things to see and do. From fire trucks to background history on fire fighters. What was really fascinating was the stories of legendary fires which swooped Australian land. Unfortunately place wasn’t updated with the 2020 bush fires but later down the track I’m sire it will. All in all great little museum with friendly staff and a really cool gift shop. Thanks.
