Well preserved Old Parliament House. Lots of history to absorb. Different exhibits run inside, so worth a look. Takes a few hours if you stop and read all the information. Surrounding gardens are beautiful and worth a casual stroll. Lots of picture opportunities.

Such a wonderful opportunity to sit in the seats of power! I really loved the prime minister's office at the time of the place closing. My children were entranced by the typewriters. Good fun and easy to see.
Absolutely the best and most interesting time spent in this amazing old building. Full of history and so well displayed for everyone to see. Friendly knowledgeable staff and the experience is just awesome. You really need at least 4 hours here minimum. Highly recommended.
Amazing experience and the way everything is set-up is so good. The press freedom exhibition is absolutely fantastic and eye opening. If you are interested in journalism or media or your rights in general, it is an absolute must visit. Love how all the rooms are set up in the rest of the place.
This is an amazing museum which makes you understand Australia history and what gets done in Parliament, you can explore almost every inch of the place over about 3 floors, definitely need a good half a day to see it all! The first half is some pretty funny cartoons which demonstrate life in 2020 due to COVID. A must see! “Jonique Life” Follow our journey around Australia on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube as we highlight wonderful experiences and magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.
Old Parliament House was my favourite stop in Canberra. The Prime Minister's suites feel like you're stepping back into the 80's. All of the offices are as they were when last used. It was so cool looking at all of the items. You can feel the history as you move from room to room. I want to return and explore it again next time I return to Canberra.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Old Parliament House. A shout-out to Trent for the Building History Tour, and Trent and Grace for the Meet the Press Tour. I highly recommend either of these free tours, especially the former.
Currently under refurbishment (at the date of this review) but still offers quite a lot of history to see. First time I had been back here since primary school (in the 90s) and I enjoyed it even more as an adult. The way that a lot of the offices have been preserved in an early 80s style time capsule (complete with newspaper clippings, magazines, cassette tapes) was extremely nostalgic. A great way for anyone to learn about the history of Australia's parliament.
