Maritime museum hasn't changed in what it has to offer very much of late, although they have had extensive remodelling of their building and entrance. Accessible for wheelchairs with rest rooms also. I did start this review by saying it hasn't changed in what it has to look at BUT........ Whenever I pop in I always find something that grabs my attention which I don't remember it doing the previous time( could be my brain injury?? Or just getting old, lmao) Staff are always helpful and if you have a question there is almost always someone on duty there that is happy to expand on anything you see or ask about. Please make a point of giving a donation when you go. If we lose this museum due to our poor donation skills it will be sorely missed.

A great place to visit. To do it justice you need plenty of hours to see everything and read amazing naval information from the past. Wonderful models of ships too.

Wonderful! The staff were friendly, there was a fantastic array of nautical displays, and the quality of the collection is first class. There was so much to look at that I'll definitely be returning to finish it off.

Great and interesting mix of items in this museum, both civilian and military. Impressively large model of various ships were a delight.

Well worth the visit, so much information. We were there for over two hours and still didn't take it all in.

Honestly I didn't expect much going there. But since I put my foot on the doorstep I radically changed my mind. This place is full of history, memorabilias, decent vessel models. It exposes the Ballina's far and near history through its entanglement to the sea. You can't go wrong visiting the museum.
