Excellent parking. A little hill but do - able. Beach is fantastic, water hole amazing (like a large natural lagoon netted off from Mr Sharkie) water is crystal clear. Rock pools that kids love. Golden sand. Clean. Showers and toilets with coffee and hot chips in paper cones, nearby. Love it.

What a great place in Newcastle. I’ve never known a car park to attract quite so much attention, but gee does it deserve it. Catch the sunset from the boot of your car, or bring a picnic rug and blanket to watch as the sky puts on a show for you!
Beautiful views of the beach. So lucky to have beaches in Newcastle we can park without paying and easily admire the natural beauty. Love setting off from here for a walk.
Bar Beach is a well known beach to swim in Newcastle City. It is a fabulous place to hang out as well. It serves lots of great view. The beach itself is fantastic.
Kids friendly.. Love the beach. Need to be there early for parking or else you will spend at least half an hour looking for one on a busy weekend
When I was young I used to go to Bar Beach afternoons after school and weekends during summer. I loved it. Now, in my old age, I go to the car park to see the wonderful view of the ocean in it's many moods and to watch and listen to the waves. The ocean has so much incredible energy. Surely there will be a way of harnessing this energy to lessen our reliance on fossil fuel.

Best carpark I've ever been to. Hella dogs walking by. Like HELLA dogs. Some hang gliders straight vibing over the beach. Incredibly relaxing, would recommend this carpark if you need to park your car. Edit: For transparency, I should mention I do NOT own a car
