Purchased a bike even though it was not a local shop over the phone with the promise it would be built by saturday and someone would call me. Hung around the house ready to till 2pm then had to call to find out it was out the back ready and no one had called. Literally just took my cash and gave me the bike to wheel out no offer of service or anything. My impression they do not care about these smaller priced sales. Specialized should give more bikes to the smaller stores that offer better service.
Fantastic experience. They were able to quickly and cheaply repair my bike chain after Trek bicycle told me the only solution was to buy a new chain. Been over a year now and have had no issues with the chain since!
When your about to spend over 5k on a bike you want people that know more about it than what you already read on the internet. Matt was exactly that, he taught me a lot about the bike i was looking at and spent the time to set it up perfect for me and let me have a spin around the block. Ive been to a lot of bike shops recently and none were as good as Planet Cycles for stock on the floor & customer service.
I made a trip from Barcelona to Brisbane by plane. There they have helped me ride the bike and be able to make an adventure to Incredible Byron. They have very good material, good mechanics and I was able to buy everything I needed for the trip. When I finished, they kept a box to transport my bike on the plane. Thank you very much for everything and especially Sasha & Joe
I have never written a bad review before but have had the worst experience with Planet Cycles. Brought an expensive bike from a lovely sales person. From day one the bike was faulty with squealing brakes. For 8 months, I returned the bike numerous times, which they charged me for every time. Feeling frustrated I wrote to the owners of Planet, who replied back with many excuses, no solutions and made me feel like it was all my fault. Very unprofessional. Finally I reached out to Specialized Bikes, who put me onto another bike shop. It took 2 days for the new bike shop to fix the major problem and claimed it all under warranty. Why couldn't Planet do that? I agree with Planet Cycles reputations - Great to work with but not if there is a problem.
My first visit here, very friendly knowledgeable staff. Will definitely be back.
