Great museum well worth it. Staff and tour guide make it very interesting and also there are some parts there with original graffiti from inmates. You can also go inside the original cells where prisoners were locked up in.

The museum was very interesting and definitely something to see in Melbourne. The staff were really great, albeit the tours were a little challenging during COVID times. There's also activities for kids to do (Cluedo) which makes it interesting for them too. Given the influx of people at the start (timed entry) and the COVID-distancing rule, you'd have to wait until a cell was empty, unfortunately there simply wasn't enough time to read all the signs before having to move on to the other side.
Great place to visit, was happy to get out. Would look bit brighter with some Street Art?! The history of Gaol is absolutely fascinating. Ned Kelly you'll always be #missed
Shoutout to the Sergeant who took the 10:30am Watch House tour on Saturday 17th August 2019! The experience was amazing, really brought the visit alive. Highly recommend visiting the Gaol and doing the Watch House tour too. Brilliant!
Old Melbourne Gaol never gets old. My last visit was about 20 years ago and in that time, the police car park and remand centre next door has been reverted back to its original state. So now you can explore a lot more.
Loved this place. Definitely pay the extra 5 for the cludo experience. Only thing that would make it better would be if there was a tour guide
We enjoyed the arresting visit and tour of the old gaol Sergeant Kane our arresting officer made the visit fun and informative and kindly let us out at the end. Would recommend the visit as part of a trip around Melbourne
Loved the place, especially the personalized stories of the criminals. Would recommend this place to someone who likes Shashank Redemption and Prison Break.
