Really a great place to visit and to know about historic Whale Hunting of WA. Exploring the ship is really a great experience, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, we can't access the inside of the ship at the moment (even though I don't understand the logic of it) The 3D whale movie is informative.. Overall it's a nice experience but unless u can access the internals of the ship, it's bit disappointing.

It’s a beautiful place. But I had a second thought if I should go inside or not. I know it cost a lot to maintain this place. But to charge 32 per adult is too high for me. We ended up just have a drink at the cafe and took some pictures outside
This place is a must see. The history of the whaling in Australia. Walk into the real boat which was used for whaling. Also walk into the actual deck where the whales were cut up. Very informative. Highly recommended.
Well arranged exhibits and activities. To do everything you need a good half day or more. If you want to spend less time, its easy enough to select a couple of exhibits. Recommend the ship even with the interior closed to public under Covid-19 restrictions. The wildlife park is a lovely addition as well and well worth a visit. Even with the stations morbid history, its possible to enjoy this attraction without leaving overwhelmed or distressed.
I'm not sure what I was expecting when I decided to come here. It's a curious mixture of historic factory tour, glorification of the workers, photos of whale slaughter, natural museum and a kids whale slide. About half of the internal displays were locked, unclear if this was a staffing issue or due to COVID restrictions. The venue appears to cater for large numbers, but the on site restaurant is tiny. I discovered a single display about the role of environmentalists in ending the practice of whale hunting in the form of a video playing on a poorly configured monitor at the base of the panoramic tower - dedicated to the history of the whaling company. The weather added to the sense of bleakness that this place represented in living memory.
There is a lot of history here. We enjoyed visiting this place. Entry is expensive. Parking can be an issue.
Though the whaling station hasn't changed much in ten years, though I noticed the name Whale World now, I still enjoy the visit as the place is fairly original to how it was back in the 1970s. Lots of machines and sheds to see, the kids loved the 3D movie and the original whaling ship. Some of hlthw imagery of the whales can be quite confronting. Unfortunately due to covid you could visit the rooms of the ship.ticket price is still fairly expensive as well.
Wow, loads of information. Not cheap but worth every cent. Exhibits were well restored and genuinely interesting.
