Nice place for camping. Its near from Sydney and central coast almost within an hours distance. Quite safe for camping and large camp ground with clean toilets with electricity. Hawksburry River water flows beside the camping side and you can enjoy, relax. Water level is generally quite low so that kids can also enjoy. The gates gets closed evening 7.30 so make sure you have everything and there is no option to go back before morning.Overall nice place for those who lack experience in camping and those want to try.

Very small basins, so bring a goon bag if you need to fill up water bottles. Heaps of kush green grass. Toilet facilities in great condition, gas BBQs and plenty of table & chair picnic sets.

Very spacious grassed picnic area with shelters, tables, WC blocks and launching spots for kayakers. Also a playground and a flying fox/Zipliner for free use. Walking trails both ends (Great North Walking trail) with some boardwalks but also some rocky, steeper sections. VERY steep, winding, narrow access road for 2.5 km from entrance.

During the week outside school holidays a tranquil place for a bit of quite time. But a popular venue on the weekend. Good access to the tidal creek for canoeists. Good facilities.

Wonderful park for the kids. From the boardwalk, the playground including flying fox, the river, the walking tracks, cycling track, roaming monitor lizards - there is endless adventures for kids. The modern toilet facilities are amazing and clean, access to clean tap water, free electric bbq facilities, picnic tables (some with shelter), and communal fire pit really makes it a top spot for car camping (must book online).

Great place for picnics. Ample BBQs and parking. There's also a cafe though it was closed when we went.

Lovely campground and picnic area near Berowra Creek. Amenities are well maintained and include flushing toilets, town water, electric BBQs, shelters (bookable), and a playground. Raised boardwalks give views of the creek, and a wide path gives access to the water for kayaking. The campground can be accessed via a spectacular 7hr hike from Hornsby train station, or by car. There are a few places for camp fires around the grounds, however there were signs up at last visit of a total fire ban. It was busy / noisy during the day with picnickers, however it was peaceful at night with not many campers around - I expect it would get busy during peak season though.
