A must see while in Tasmania. Loads of interesting Tasmanian history, beautiful gardens, cafe, souvenirs. You will need a couple of hours to enjoy this historic house and farm.

Really beautiful property with an amazing history. Would definitely recommend a visit! The lovely ladies were amazing as well as the tour- really interesting and lovely
5 stars for the amazing food that we had, 1 star for the lack of care and empathy when trying to organise a special video to be played from grandparents unable to attend their grandson's wedding. Emails requests ignored and then on the day rubbed in my face because I had to email someone else to try and organise something. The TV near the toilets showed your lack of care!.
I have rose garden envy! So many varieties of beautiful healthy plants in full bloom. We thought we'd just drop by for a quick visit but ended up spending a couple of hours here, there was so much to look at. Explored the fascinating history of the property and views of the local landscape before going in to enjoy the local artists on exhibit in the gallery. Restaurant on site is a cool respite from the sun with beautiful views of the gardens and estate. The staff were so friendly and chatty, full of information and great tips. My only disappointment was that they got rid of the original apple orchard to build the car park. Otherwise a highlight of our visit to Tassie.
A wonderful place to see how life was a long time ago. There is also a small museum, art gallery including a coffee place to relax. Come and visit the colonial past.
Ok, listen up, those that know me, know I say it as it is, so here I go. Absolutely the best highlight of out trip. We booked the tour prior to leaving Melbourne. Well can these girls really provide service. When in Launceston, we received a call saying the tour was scheduled for a later time. Hello, is that service or is that service, it is service! Then came the highlight, we were greeted by our lovely tour guide, and shown around the estate. If you have not been to visit this place, you are really missing out. Woomers Estate left us wanting to hear and see more of this historical place. The guide spoke with such knowledge, it made us feel like we were there, in those earlier times, as the occupants of the house. This place is an absolute to put on your list of 'to do' things. I thank everyone at Woolmers Estate, who made our trip truly memorable. I just feel we need to go back for more. I highgly recommend to you, Woolmers Estate for your next attraction when you are in Launceston. Thank you all. Dezi George.
New visitor's center is confronting and not what you would expect at a Trust Listed property. The amenaties were exceptional, and once inside the garden it was peaceful. The fragrance of the almost spent roses very pleasant. Views of the Rose garden out to the western Tiers beautiful. Also loved some of the sculptures throughout the gardens.
Bittersweet view of regional history. Excellent reception, interesting and 'untouched' exhibits. More real than a museum.
