Really enjoyed our short stay here. The cottage was excellent, clean and everything you need, weather your staying for 1 night or 5. Friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast. Walking distance to shop. Also a favorite was the walk to the food truck at the village green.

Beautiful little cottages you can feel the history.very well equiped with everything you need.very close to shops in a really nice clean town. The owner Amanda was very nice and very helpfull.5 stars
Lovely period cottages set in a picturesque town. Our cottage was clean and tidy, but not spotless. The beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of good quality bed linen available. The cottage had everything we needed for our four day stay and everything worked as it should. In the colder months the gas heater would struggle to heat the whole cottage, but it was adequate for the cool nights we experienced. The owners provided complimentary muffins and gingerbread men for us (two couples) during our stay which was a lovely, unexpected treat and we appreciated the thought. Parking can be a problem on site at times due to limited spaces but I parked on the very quiet road directly outside the cottage with no problems. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return here again for another short break.
Dog friendly, older style but quiet cosy
Very homely and comfortable :) great hospitality! I recommend getting the breakfast deal if you like homemade bread and jams etc. It's also fantastic if you're leas than 6 foot tall... my husband had slight issues with this :)
Our favourite accom duing our 3 weeks in Tassie. We stayed for 3 nights, in the Old Bakehouse. It had heaps of space for us and could have accommodated another couple at least. It felt like coming home when we got back each afternoon. The hosts are very helpful. If we are ever in the area again, we will be staying at one of these cottages.
Lovely, self-contained, cottages. Period decor. Friendly hosts (who bake amazing snacks). We've been coming here for years, and this is where we always stay when we're in the north of Tasmania. Even the drive to Launceston isn't too long.
In the "Servant's Quarters" there is pleasant colonial decor, separate living and bedroom, a nice warm gas heater and neat garden. Off-street parking is included in a quaint courtyard. The kitchen is a bit tacky compared with the grand four poster bed, and for the price (150 aud for one person), you usually wouldn't see a stickytaped piece of paper near the sink asking guests to wash, dry and replace their dishes. That said, a nice place overall and with my recommendation.
