Poor service. Took 40 minutes for food, that was expensive for what we got. Then asked for tomato sauce that they wanted to charge for.

7 of us turned up for lunch today at 1230 and told the kitchen is closed even though they were supposed to be open until 2pm. Apparently not busy. They had a few people already eating and more people were arriving. Why would you decide to close your kitchen at the beginning of the lunch period? Makes no sense and the second time this has happened to us. Would not reccomend this place unless you want disappointment. Just lazy.

Steak was over cooked. Service was most excellent. Great atmosphere. Went Sunday lunch, live music was great too.

Shocking service! Ditto Richard's comment. Certainly spoiled our Mother's Day. We've enjoyed the restaurant in the past, but it has certainly deteriorated. Can one even call it a restaurant when they couldn't produce any food after after almost 2 hours?

Lovely historic old pub (functioning) in the grounds of Petrie Historic Village.

atlantic salmon - crispy skin where - no lemon tang in lemon butter sauce and it was lumpy like unmixed flour , fish and chips - definitely flathead but overcooked / thawed too long vary similar to frozen fish fingers and no lemon wedge , classic parmagiana , sauce tasted like pureed tomato no real flavour , cheese was oily and runny not grilled , garlic bread was at best a herb bread and was over cooked - burnt and not appealing , no cutlery on the self serve sideboard , fish arrived first and waited another 15 mins for other dishes , waitress walked past us with our other two meals to verandah area , little confusing i suppose when all the tables are numbered , asked if i wanted glasses with a request for a bottle of water , beyond a joke this time , new chef ?? been there a few times before for both breakfast and lunch mostly not too bad , but today has left me speechless , suggest management occasionally try the food secretly , maybe some staff may be shaped up or shipped out , will not go back again but will try the restaurant straight across the street from them , ps the bakery pies are well worth it ,and the waffle stand is a definite for a sweet snack , sorry heritage but you have lost one family today and word spreads quickly , a restaurant charging this much should produce better quality . sorry but none of us were impressed
