The Red Door Strahan

Arriving at the Red Door, it looks exactly as the photos and as you expect – a bright red door. Great sized driveway to pull in and unload. All the furniture and bedding is functional and modern, comfortable and a brilliant view to top it off – very comfortable outdoor chairs and table overlooking water views. As we had been travelling for 5 days prior we had a 2 day stop at Strahan it was great to having a washing machine and dryer to wash a few times. The foldable clotheshorse a bonus as well to peg up small items. The kettle, toaster and microwave meant breakfast and warming bubs milk was easy, very sweet to have tea, coffee, sugar, UHT milk and small single srvies of spreads and butter on hand also. Bonus of children's cups/plates/bowls. Very thoughtfully catered and presented. Normally we find 1 bed is good, maybe 2 but all 3 beds were well presented, lovely sheets and blankets and very comfortable. As my husband and myself sleep in separate beds it meant we both had a comfortable nights sleep (we did bring our own pillows) and my son who sleeps in his own (he got to share this time with his great gran) had the choice of bed hooping for 2 nights. Lovely renovated bathroom, great facilities, shame it wasn’t cold enough to use the fireplace but there is also heating/cooling which again we didn’t need to use, there is a full kitchen if you intend to cook (as we were on the Gordon River cruise the full 1 day and got in around 4pm the first we only cooked toast) but well worth the experience. For the little hiccup we had Nardi was responsive so good having a local owner nearby. Thank you Nardi!
