In many ways i remember this as a casual hostel. But the owners of this place make it a lot more then that, they try to help you where they can and make you feel a bit like home. I would always come back to this place!

Pete, Dave and Rob are very helpful and make sure that you have all you need. By this I mean things like when Pete gave me a swag had been sitting around for a while and I had a huge discount on my tyres when I had to get them changed before my trip. Besides they clean the common areas and bathrooms everyday which always adds points. It's also a quiet hostel, maybe because of the current situation. I also felt very safe and confident I could leave my stuff around and for people with their own car, their parking is free so I would definitely recommend it.

Great home like vibe. Friendly managers make you feel welcome. Excellent budget priced accommodation. Stayed here for nearly 6 months. Will be back for sure.

It was my first time staying at backpacker/hostel accommodation. I came up from a rural area to Adelaide for 1 night for a dentist appointment. I looked on the internet for accommodation and found they were all 100 per night. That's what made my mind up to try Sunny's and it wasn't a mistake. The place is a bit Spartan and that's how I like it. The people there were also extremely nice. It's not really a place to bring children. Also, I'm told that they still do pancakes in the mornings but only for a special occasion. Because of the Coronavirus there weren't many backpackers there. There was this one guy who would have qualified as being a backpacker, a guy named Jonah from Finland, he was pretty cool. I would be happy to stay at Sunny's again!

This place's charm is less in the physical structure, but more those that make them a home. I've got a few examples proving this, but I'll share the most recent. I hadn't been at the hostel in over a month, when a package arrived there for me. A simple e-mail and Pete brought it to the post office and sent it on to me. I offered to cover the postage and he was adement I pay it forward to someone who needs it. Yes it's a hostel, not the Hilton, but I'd argue that Sunny's has better customer service, and definitely more heart.

What an awesome spot. The owners are possibly the nicest I've met. I drove in on a motorbike and one of the owners helped me do a valve adjustment free of charge. Not only that but the spot is great. Adelaide is cool town if you give it a chance. Come to this hostel if you want to make friends!
