(Currently have reported these guys to the Melbourne Office of Consumer Rights. They agreed Star Florist is guilty of false advertising and instructed me to request a charge back. Still awaiting an apology or resolution from Star Florist. Review will be updated if/as they take responsibility. Story follows...) Ordered a lovely arrangement of flowers delivered to my fiance, and ordered from these guys BECAUSE they had an arrangement available on their website with a stuffed puppy included. We just got engaged a month ago, and also just adopted our new child,...you guessed it, a small puppy. The flowers were lovely, and the delivery was on the correct day. BUT...the vase was not the one I ordered or the one show in the picture, And the puppy I ordered was not available. I was not informed of this when I placed the order, and neither was I sent any message informing me of this prior to delivery. I contacted the chat helpline, and the person I spoke with was full of excuses. "Sir, the puppy was just complimentary, so we substituted it." (Lame excuse. Besides, my fiance isn't a girl who does teddy bears.) "Sir, we tried to call you this morning, and you weren't available." (My call log showed no missed calls, and I'm guessing they went no further than realizing it was an international number.) "Sir, you can return the item for a refund." (Now I'm to ask my fiance to return a gift because THEY jacked it up?? #AWKWARD) Needless to say, I'm severely disappointed in the service, their inability to deliver what they sold me, but mostly, their refusal to own the problem and even offer a partial refund. For a place that is handling special occasions and surprises, obviously, you'll want to make sure you deal with someone else.

I received flowers delivered for my birthday from my sister in the US. The flower arrangement itself was nice, however after showing her via video chat, it clearly wasn't what she ordered. The arrangement was supposed to be native Australian flowers, but it only had a few proteas and the majority were other flowers including carnations (which horrified my sister). She'd also ordered for delivery on Friday, but they arrived on Saturday. They didn't even ring the doorbell, just left it on the porch; it was lucky my sister checked if they'd arrived otherwise they would have been sitting in the heat outside all day. A card comes with the flowers saying they need to be watered; I watered them and clearly they aren't well enclosed inside as the cardboard container is disintegrating, so I've had to put the whole thing in a bowl so it doesn't leak everywhere.
I placed an order recently with Star Florist and the service was second to none. The flowers I wanted initially weren't in stock, and though I was very disappointed, I found another arrangement and requested some changes and they were more than accommodating. The recipient of the flowers loved them and when she sent me an image, I was blown away. They did a better job than the photo, so I am super appreciative of the effort they went to to make this a positive experience. Highly recommended and won't hesitate to use them again in future. Thank you!
