Went to the Salvation Army thrift store in Dromana. I am currently 8months pregnant and after being in there for 45 minutes I started to feel a bit faint and dropped my mask below my nose to breathe as I thought I was going to pass out. The assistant by the name of Michelle abruptly asked me to lift my mask. Which I then explained that I was feeling very faint and a little dizzy. Her response to me was “well I’ve been wearing my mask for 8 hours everyday and unless you have an exemption you have to wear it”. Terrible show of any sort of empathy and rolled her eyes after I explained I was pregnant and couldn’t breath. I walked outside to get some fresh air and my mother in law completed the purchase. Very distressed knowing I wasn’t feeling well and no one even offered for me to sit down or have a glass of water or show any concern at all. And this is supposed to be a caring charity! We are big supporters of the Salvation Army and the charity work they do, but obviously this didn’t come through their employee today. Very disappointed. I will be speaking with management regarding their poor customers service.

There’s always some interesting treasures to find here. Clothing, homewares and kids dress ups always worth a look.

This place is a rip off, and they don't do discounts or deals. Saw them wanting to sell a ripped dress, retro and old fabric hard to fix, for 8 dollars. Stinky stained clothes for 16, 22 dollars. Records are disgusting in price only got cause I wanted them but was disgusted. Whoever is pricing these had no idea about value. You see clothes that never leave there because the price is too high. Glasses and plates are ridiculous. You're not an antique store, you're a bloody op shop and charity store, meant to help out people who can't afford clothes. I wonder why people just shop in Kmart, because their stuff is cheaper than these bloody stores

The shop is really large with a massive variety for women including shoes, handbags, accessories etc... However, men's and children's sections are quite small. Lots of clothes in great condition but they tend to cater for the people with a little more wealth as their prices are quite high for second hand store.

Been in now and again thinking they May review their high pricing as I’m keen to spend my money, but not to be, I don’t want anything for free I just want fair prices, it’s about turnover in retail, price to sell, then get more stock into shop and keep selling and you have money in the till at end of day, instead of stock sitting around waiting for the right person to spend their money, if not sold send they are sent to another store to sell at same price, no wonder items end up at the tip. I’ve never once been greeted by staff when entering store, terrible customer service.

Staff are useless and incompetent, they refuse to sell items from the window display until they change the display. I explained I had travelled to come to op shops in the area and that the item from the display I was after was easily accessed as it was on the very edge and they refused and told me I could come back next week. I’ve never been to an op shop where is it so apparent they do not have any interest in raising money for charity or providing good service to their customers. I often travel long distances to seek specific items and will never be entering this store again.
