Quirky but fun. A go to place for electronic parts that are hard to obtain. Friendly staff and great prices. If in Melbourne, well worth looking at their website.

Rockby is a great place to find those hard to get parts at good prices. Ever helpful staff know their stuff. lf you go on a Saturday you can check out the bargain room next to the main store. Recommended to the tinker !!

Great to find an old style electronic parts store with knowledgeable staff and excellent prices. Very comprehensive website which is easy to navigate and find things from their massive inventory of hard to find parts.

Forget the other 'electronics' stores; Rockby is a throw back to Dickies and Tandy when they were focussed on the electronics tinkerers! Rockby is great for the DIY Tech head, budding electronic enthusiast or the professional engineers sand technicians, with all kinds of discreet, active, passive components, tools and test gear. Their weekly specials are an additional bonus and offer all kinds of component bargains!

I have been shopping at Rockby for 20 years. This is the only true electronics store left in Melbourne - reminiscent of McGraths, Stewarts and Ellistronics. They have a lot of electronics you simply cannot find anywhere else, including SMD parts. The prices are often a lot cheaper than anywhere else and if you get on their mailing list, you will come across some real bargains. Unlike Jaycar and Dick Smith, this is not a toy store, but for enthusiasts who are really into electronics, whether professional or hobbyist. Do yourself a favour and check out their website. Their showroom is not big, although it is worth browsing there whilst your parts are being picked. Their search engine is a little old, but with some patience you will find what you are looking for. Finally, the service level from Tony, Eugene and the team is terrific. If they don't have a part, sometimes they will find you an alternative.
