Spent nearly 10k on a commercial job that lasted less than 18months. Communications seemed unbelievably tricky as I dealt with different staff members who told me different stories. - “yes, that should be covered under warranty” (it wasn’t) - “This hardboard floor should be fine to lay over” (it wasn’t) -“this type of vinyl should never have been installed in a kitchen, it can’t withstand the heat” (why did you wait until after the job to tell me this) Our vinyl floor had split in the joining within 2 months of being installed due to sketchy workmanship, we asked for a re-do when we had time, they agreed and awaited our call to come re-do. We unfortunately also had a faulty oven that damaged the floor, which we did NOT expect them to cover in warranty. COVID has given us time to renovate and fix the floor so when we get in contact, warranty has been void and all further help are just suggestions of the cheapest way to fix it for ourselves (best of which being buy another 2.5k worth of tiles from them and install it yourself bc “I’m sure you’ve got plenty of time on your hands at the moment with COVID and all that”) Cheers Guys.
