My daughter and I were out for a ride, and her gears became mis-aligned. One of the staff at Epic Cycles quickly adjusted her gears and sent us on our way, no charge. All I can say is that a willingness to help out a cyclist like this is a great indicator to the shops ethics and support.

Good quality bike shop with a wide range of accessories and in-shop bike mechanics.

Very good mechanic there, can't remember his name...fitted my bike in at short notice to get wheel trued up and derailleur fixed. Thought I was going to have to replace derailleur but got it fixed and working in 15-20mins at a good price. So happy with that.

Needed a part desperately, Epic Cycles had the item in stock, phoned them up and they said they would get the item out express on the same day. They lived up to their promise and I got the part in the time required. Thank you very much for your help.

I paid 60 (40 for labour and 20 for parts) on Thursday to have a new axle fitted to my rear wheel. It seems to me that the mechanics fitted the bearing cones at equal distances from the axle ends instead of positioning the wheel at the centre of the axle. Regardless of the cause of the mistake, the wheel is about 10 mm to the left of centre and it needs to be fixed. I've taken it back off the bike and I'll walk it down to the shop tomorrow morning and then I'll post an update on how it goes. Update: Staff corrected the issue, free of charge, with the wheel position and reconfigured the spacers. I picked the wheel up again on the same afternoon and it's perfect. I appreciated getting a call back to confirm that the issue was fixed. Recommended.

Epic Cycles has good technical skills, but terrible customer service. My wife experienced this first hand today when coming back for a 'quick 5 minute job' off the back of a service. Ended up stretching into 2 hours waiting around unnecessarily due to a lack of communication. Was then charged for it even though it was included in the original invoice. Lots of attitude and eye rolling being thrown around... not the customer's fault if the shop is overbooked and were told "don't worry about booking, it's a quick job".

The only bike shop in Brisbane who doesn't judge me when I turn up looking like a hobo on one of my Frankenbikes looking for a random part or accessory! They stock great gear from good brands and are always helpful, unlike many other shops in town who will turn their noses up at you if you're violating any one of 'The Rules'. Always an enjoyable experience visiting and purchasing from people who actually like and ride bikes.

Surprisingly shocking service. Not very specialised at all. The sales person at the time was Simon, who sold me an E-bike based on the advice that a child seat could be fitted and is suitable for the bike type sold. So many things went wrong I really don't know where to begin. Let's put it this way, if you're looking for an honest, trustworthy, speedy and authentic bike shop, I wouldn't bother wasting your time at Epic cycle's. A very disappointing experience that certainly did not match the price tag!
