Nice staff and do processing promptly
Went in to get my Medicare card , I was in absolute pain and try to get to a doctor asap I was serviced very fast and efficient. Got out of there in 20 minutes with my card number. They also did the application for me because of my pain at that time. I’m impressed with the care and the service I have received. I really appreciate it. Keep it up It’s always nice to be treated with understanding and care . Antonio
Dodgy customer service agents who try to manipulate you with false services. We went in just to get hospital covers, but the agent there lured us to go for extras by mentioning that there is no cost for 6 weeks and then you can cancel extras. But we got charged straightway full price with extras. Moreover, there was no discussion about income and the relevant government rebate. They automatically gave us max rebate, so their prices keep minimum and mentioned that we can settle the rest via tax returns in July!
The pros: Nicely decorated office and comfy couches. The cons: As an insurance company the system used for calculating and collecting premiums was a complete mess. Still it is no worries for them as long as they can charge extra without the policyholders' knowledge to cover their "loss". Well, that happened to some of us two weeks ago and at least they have reimbursed that amount. But have they really fixed up their system? No. Check your payment receipt from last year and it shows the premium for the same product has gone up by 20% this year. Twenty percent with increase in benefits covered virtually nil. Been with Medibank for more than 5 years I have never seen such a crazy jump in premium, as if the jumps in previous years weren't crazy enough already. When asked if the price looked reasonable at all the manager doesn't even look like she cares. Customer service also needs to step up their game.
Came in at 1355 on Saturday, door is still open, the rude staff told me to come back on Monday. I have to travel all the way from Canberra to find services on Saturday and I am going overseas on Sunday. I felt so embarrassed to get kicked out front of a crowd of people and refuse to leave. Staff then deferred to service us for 10 mins when there is no one to service. How rude. While waiting, another customer also has been waiting, the staff complaint as “ she is so tired, she doesnt feel like to serve”. OMG, WTF
I'm a 24 year old who was completely out of her depth when I came to health insurance. That said, the people here were so helpful and lovely and turned my getting insurance from a terrifying ordeal to a calm, straightforward experience.
