I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Best Western Plus Launceston this week in April as it was really clean and well equipped and in an excellent location within a 2 minute walk of City park and a less than 15 minute walk to the waterfront. The onsite Tram restaurant has delicious meals available and I loved my big breakfast. All staff were really friendly and provided great tips of things to do as well as providing directions. I loved it there so much that I have booked again for June.
4 star Hotel with basic room facilities. Breakfast is American buffet style with juice and coffee served and porridge (for Asian) Front desk officer are helpful and friendly. Hotel is walking distance to some local eatery and has a open space parking lot behind. Rooms come with hair dryer, iron board and safe deposit. A good choice to stay in.
It did feel very cosy. Would stay again. Can get a little noisy from other rooms and bathrooms are a bit old but for what you pay you can't really complain
Great staff, very helpful. The rooms are clean. Fantastic location.
Lovely hotel! Big rooms, super friendly and helpful staff. Got a free room upgrade too! Would like to say that the carpet had a few stains though. Room was also very very hot and we struggled to figure out how to use air conditioning/find out if they even had air conditioning.
Nice place to enjoy comfortably, neat and clean in the heart of Tasmania. Really loved would pray to God Bless us to Visit again
Ultra Budget Hotel, with little to no service or amenities. On arrival, we were checked in by a receptionist by the name of Michelle who apparently only begrudgingly served us and would have rather been somewhere else. Her first attempt at greeting us was "do you require parking that will be 6". A little taken aback I asked if there were any alternatives to the paid parking. Her response was a blunt "no you have to pay now". I asked if this could be charged to the room? and mentioned that most Hotels offered parking for paying guest. Michelle was not interested in engaging in any kind of pleasant exchange however and took the 6 payment, she then abruptly directed us to an Automatic Electronic Check-In facility. After arriving in our room we noticed the lack of Compendium or Minibar. I rang reception and was told by Michelle that "there are no Compentums due to Covid 19. I am very busy" then she abruptly hung up. Later that night, after returning from dinner, we rang reception again to inquire Where the Lounge bar was but was told it was closed. On our trip around Tasmania, we were offered free parking at Every Hotel we stayed in Except this one, additionally, it was the only Hotel not offer an In-room Compendium or a Minibar. I am unsure how this hotel boasts a 4-star rating.
