This regionally-based, locally-run, scientifically-focused and trained, not-for-profit organisation has spearheaded numerous investigations of sites in South West Queensland. These sites are of major natural and cultural heritage importance to the nation and include new faunal and floral fossil deposits within Mesozoic and Cenozoic-aged rocks, which also include dinosaurs and megafauna. The organisation has also documented and discovered new and rare species of living invertebrates.
