Such a fun day with a relaxed and engaging team. The group was small which meant we were able to request certain sites or experiences if conditions allowed. The skipper took extra care to ensure we were able to get good views of dolphins and turtles on the trip out and back from the dive sites. The team were knowledgeable about the islands, the marine life and the ocean. Dangerous currents at one dive site were recognised prior to entry and a safer option with equal marine life diversity and volume was chosen. The dive master ensured we saw a huge abundance of fish, turtles, rays and varying topography whilst remaining safe in the water. We had such a great time getting to know the team and exploring their world with them. Would definitely recommend using Dive Quest if interested in diving the solitary islands. We intend to come back in the future to see more dive sites with them. Theres so many, you cant do it all in one holiday!

My girlfriend and I took our open water divers certificate here and it was absolutely amazing. We were able to start the course the day after arriving and because it is a little and local place without huge amounts of tourists, we had an instructor for ourselfs. That just made the experience very personal. More than that the instructors and the owner of the shop Chris were extremely helpful and nice people. On our 4 dives we saw lots of corals, sharks, heaps of fish and even a Spanish dancer. We highly recommend the place.
Double boat dive for the best price I've seen on the east coast, we saw leopard shark and guitar shark as well as wobbegong, short tailed torpedo ray and heaps of anemones and accompanying fish. Great guys running the show here!
This was an awesome experience!! I had come up from Sydney on a family holiday and thought I'd get my scuba licence. For my first time diving I was able to see 4 Grey Nurse sharks and Manta Rays as well as a HUGE array of aquatic life - sharks, massive schools of fish, amazing corals, giant jelly fish and even a few sea turtles! The staff were super friendly and really made it easy for me to get certified. On the last day they took my brother and I out for the day even though we were the only ones on the boat just so that I could finish my lessons. So we ended up getting a private dive instructor for the whole day for no extra cost - absolute legends! Overall an insanely good couple of days - I highly recommend you go with Dive Quest, I'll surely be back next time I trek through Coffs!
Very good divers with a lot of experience, a great dive!
We stayed in Coffs Harbour and wanted to go diving. Jetty Dive was booked out so we stumbled upon Dive Quest. What a great find! They are 25km north of Coffs Harbour but most of it is freeway, so not a long drive at all. Then the dive operation itself: This would be the perfect small dive-setup I've ever seen. The owner, Chris, was friendly, informal and yet professional. he had great advice, helped with our equipment, just the right level of laid back to make sure everyone was relaxed and had a great time. We felt like part of the crew and loved every minute of it. Had to help a little to get the boat launched on the beach, and also to get the boat back on the trailer (not much - basically just hold the boat steady) but really enhanced the the dive trip for us. The dives itself were spectacular. Chris and his daughter Maddy have extensive knowledge of the dive site and pointed out all the interesting things to see. One of the divers in our group had difficulty with her mask and had to abort the first dive. When we came back for the break, Chris took her down, so she she could still complete two full dives. I was impressed - I'm sure on any other dive operation, it would just have been her bad luck and she would have missed out. Thanks for a great day Chris, you're a legend. We'll be back.
Our half day snorkel trip with Dive Quest took us 45 minutes out to sea to two sites at North Solitary Island. We saw heaps of fish of an amazing collection of colours and sizes amongst fascinating corals. A ray, eels, starfish, jellies, a couple of turtles and some leaping dolphins made the 6 hour trip a highlight for our stay in Woolgoolga. Dive Quest offers good prices with very friendly staff. It is a no frills operation. All six on board during a warm February day were very happy with the outing. The water was clear and 25 degrees. I must have spent nearly 4 hours in the water floating with the fish. Thanks Dive Quest for sharing some of the underwater beauty of the Coffs Coast. For snorkelling from the beach try Little Muttonbird Island, Sawtell, Corindi and depending on the surf the rocks on the way out to Muttonbird Island. At Little Muttonbird we saw dozens of rays and a Wobbegong shark.
