Very nice staff. Great cocktails.. **But told "No Cocktails after 11pm'. At 11:25pm cocktails were being served but only if you were personal friends of the staff !? Clearly, it's not legislated or regulated but depends on who you know. Staff were friendly and competent. Venue was beautiful - but rules need to be consistent regardless..

Amidst the global pandemic and really missing global travel ? There is some great news in your own backyard. In discovering that Newcastle was a hidden gem of natural beauty and the East End was like the best of Melbourne but add the surf, I discovered the jewel in the crown. Bar Petite brings a strong Parisian flavour with a touch of the village in NYC or SoHo in London, rounded off so well with friendly and sincere local charm. It's a big but accurate statement, I put it in my Top 5 bars globally. From the addictive cocktails and deserts to the culinary excellence with the tapas and main menu, the ambience, the European hrs (open from 3pm till late) and the amazing team who are genuinely happy at work and very committed to your experience, you will not be disappointed. Under the superb leadership of Kieran and Mick this an experience you will always remember and consistently come back for more. Enjoy and dream of your next exciting journey.
Good location and atmosphere staff pleasant and friendly. First tapas bar where the food was not only very good quality but also in good supply. Good selection of drinks and like the food well priced. The place was full and vibrant and a great place to spend night or just a couple drinks.
Cozy bar tucked in a corner, there’s a lounge area with sofas and decorated in la Belle Époque style. Great place to hang out with good company. The pumpkin arancini was excellent
Really nice place. Laid back atmosphere. Only went for dessert and drinks but loved it. Old school couches and arm chairs and dimmed mood lighting. Staff were excellent. Friendly and got the kitchen to stay open for us to make dessert which was appreciated. Food came quickly too. Definitely recommended
Great spot tucked away, right near Newcastle beach, great atmosphere, not too loud, just right, lovely food with mix of small dishes to choose from. Fantastic beers on tap, my wine was lovely too They make a number of beaut cocktails as well. The only downside, the chairs at the indoor tables (not the big lounges or outdoor furniture) were not that comfortable, I had a sore back afterwards. Service was prompt and nice staff. Pricing is reasonable. Overall its a definite recommendation to go there, classy place.
A fantastic little tucked away gem, this was our first time dining here and we were extremely impressed. The staff are warm, friendly and welcoming, the food delicious and very generous servings. We would highly recommend this delightful Tapas Bar to anyone wanting a relaxing and stressless night out!! Thank you, Bar Petite.
