The food here was totally amazing with an authentic Spanish flavour, reminiscent of many a meal I dad when I visited Spain. The staff were amazing and very helpful with meal choices and portions size. They also do a great choice of cocktails if that's your poison, as well as good wines beers and Sangria. Don't expect to pay less than 100 here for a couple but in my experience that's cheap these days for good food and good service

There is the huge advantage of this palce - it's in the corner of two streets not far away from water. So, you will have nice breeze even in hot summer day. I couldn't find any significant "minuses" in this place. Food, service, price, location etc all above expectation Photos of desert provided

This is a great place to enjoy a paella, casual for sure bit this is Port Douglas & I mean it in a nice way. No pretentious chefs or staff, just very friendly & explained the menu options. We shared the Valencia version & then had some starters: tasty cauliflower mac cheese croquettes, tender calamari & beautiful green Sicilian olives. Some Sangria, great Ashahi beer what more can you ask for a lovely Sunday night dinner. Well done guys

Fantastic food. Best calamari and garlic prawns I have had. Great service and friendly staff. A little slice of San Sebastian in Port Douglas.

I am in shock reading all these amazing reviews. I simply don't understand why everyone is raving about this place. We booked and came on a Saturday night. On arrival I didn't even want to sit - this looks just like a very casual Cafe - my partner and I were definitely overdressed for the occasion. We thought due to the prices of the menu it would be a bit more classy. My partner was still keen, so we were sat down right next to the curb of the road. After being seated with our menus, no explanation was given and we didn't really understand the menu at all. After sitting just waiting for over 10 minutes, finally a waiter came close enough for us to flag him down and ask. The waiter was super friendly and the whole time we spoke about how nice he was. Then at the end when we asked for the bill he brought over the machine to pay and explained if we would like to tip we could enter our tip amount and hit enter or if we didn't wish to tip to just hit enter. Then he stood straight over my partner and watched waiting to see what he did - very inappropriate, especially in Australia. My partner then didn't tip (the food is already so overpriced) and the guy completely changed his super friendly attitude and snapped the receipt shut in the book and walked off. I tried to ask as he was walking off for the tax receipt and he completely ignored me Now onto the food. It is wayyy over priced for what you get. 20 for 4 small meatballs, while dining in a casual Cafe atmosphere... is that a joke? The seafood paela was bland. We didn't eat the majority of it because of this reason. It was also very loud, I don't know if it's because we were sitting right on the road or what. We struggled to hear each other talk. We now have come home and are reading the reviews from others and simply don't understand why.. We would never go back or recommend other too.
