Unfortunately my old roller door could not be repaired. The technician did his best but wasnt possible. So we set in motion to get a new door and everything went smoothly. i didnt shop around for a better price, but we were very happy with the installation and product

Dad used them to service a garage door that got stuck when opening. Good customer service by Belinda on phone to arrange booking, technicians arrive on time and are courteous. Initial problem reoccurred after a week after service, so he contacted Belinda again and she was apologetic and agreed to send out a more senior technician free of charge. After observing whats done in a service, dad thinks he will follow online videos and clean the tracks lube until there are serious issues.

Tradesman had a look but did not have the parts to complete the job. We were told the procedure was to pay 175 call out fee now and it comes off the total of 875 when they finish the job leaving a balance of 700 and they would send us a quote by email stating this. They did not email this quote. I called the office and booked the job, again they told me the 175 original call out fee would come off the 875 job fee and the final total would be 700. I was told this would be written on the job sheet, It was not. The tradesman turned up and did an amazing job with a top quality product. The job sheet balance was 875, no one was available to authorise or validate the quote of 700. They did however reduce the total from 875 to 795 as a second call out fee. I have read their online terms and conditions page that includes a pricing and payment section. It states they may vary prices at any time without notice. I would consider them again because the tradesman and product were good but I will expect and budget for higher than the quoted amount.

Have used WR for a few years now with no issues until recently. We had an issue with the garage door motor where we suspected to have stripped the gears inside. Had someone come out to look and without even taking the engine apart told us we needed a whole new motor (at almost 1000 in cost) and it wasn’t worth buying parts to repair. Knowing we would be replacing it anyway, my husband took the engine apart and found a couple of teeth in the helical gear were stripped. A quick search for the part in our manual and then online found a new gear for 60. We ordered it and fixed it within 30 minutes. Four months later and the motor is still running fine. I called WR multiple times to ask why the need to replace entire motor, but no response. They have never called me back. We are usually very understanding and with some good follow up communication, this bad review could be prevented but unfortunately not the case in this situation. We will not be using WR in the future.

Totally professional service, from the initial contact to the installation of my garage door. Based on my experience, I'm happy to recommend WR Engineering.

Asked them to come and fix a tiltadoor where a bolt on a rail had sheered off. It's a one dollar part. The guy came, took one look, and said "you can't get just that part, you need a rail kit, that'll be 175 call out fee." Paid the 175 on the understanding that it would be deducted from the price of installing the kit which he was going to quote for. Waited a week for the quote to arrive, and then phoned them when it hadn't. They said "look in your Junk folder". Sure enough, and appropriately, there it was. 1,500 to supply and fit!!! No breakdown of the labour or parts costs, just all lumped in together. Checked for the kit on Google: I can buy an entire kit (which I don't need) for 550, or the actual part I do need for 250. Wrote back to them to say how much to just fit my supplied part? They replied that they don't install parts they don't supply. So, 175 down the drain. Not happy.

I booked a service for a pair of B&D roller doors two years ago, mainly to resolve noisy and clunky operation. I didn't notice any real improvement after the service and they had been as noisy as they were before the servicing. I was also advised I would need new doors and motors. Today I applied half a can of WD-40 myself to the tracks, fabric side strips and springs, and I finely tuned the position of the fabric strips so that they all run within the channels (some had slipped off the side). Low and behold, the noise and clunking has stopped and the doors are running more smoothly now than after the "service". Not impressed that I had to put up with this for two years and so pleased I didn't pay thousands for new doors that I don't actually need.
