The after sales service I have received from the Townsville branch of Steel-Line has been second to none. My garage door required some routine maintenance several years after installation, and the technician who came to do the job was extremely professional, very friendly, and knew his stuff. He explained what he was doing as he went and when he finished, my garage door operated better than it did when it was first installed. I now look forward to many more years of trouble free operation. I definitely recommend Steel-Line garage doors.
A broken hinge in the garage door sent my husband to the Townsville store for a replacement. After a brief check of the offending part, a replacement w as sold and my husband returned home. On the premise that the new hinge should accept the four imperial bolts from the broken one, an attempt was made but the new hinge would not seat correctly in the original holes. On the assumption that the replacement part was not correct a return was made the next day when the friendly receptionist spent some time making sure that it was, in fact correct. In the face of a 60 ish call-out fee the receptionist found out that a fitter would be in our area next day and arranged for a call to be made at no cost to see what was the matter. Because an approximate time had been agreed we were telephoned to alter that due to someone else's problems and a new time agreed. The fitter 'phoned ahead to confirm the new time after he had cleared the bigger problem and arrived hail and hearty and proceeded to fix the hinge and pointed out that a small irregularity stopped the original attempt. As former Customer Service Assessors we applaud the Company and its employees wholeheartedly.
