Amazing animal shelter. Really work hard to give the animals that come into their care the best homes and opportunities for a happy and healthy life. Great friendly and knowledgeable staff, super helpful when we adopted our beautiful girl Gracie.

Some lovely people volunteering there, the cats and dogs waiting for adoption been taken cared well. Please adopt the animals instead of purchasing if possible, all these non profit organizations are counting on good wills and kind souls, you can be one.
Very lovely place. Animals are clearly loved, and well looked after. Be warned: if you come here "just thinking" about adopting a pet, there's a very good chance you'll fall in love and come away with one. We did!
Over 15 years my family has adopted 5 dogs from here - we currently still have 3 of them (in separate homes but we often have doggy play dates and they are often at their 'grandparents' for dog-sitting). It is always the Blue Cross rescue dogs with us in the garden or sitting by the pool - often while the dogs bought as puppies recline in airconditioned comfort indoors! I think a rescue dog somehow knows that they have been chosen and saved, and they seem to really appreciate their new lives. Rescue dogs provide such loving and loyal companionship. Thank you to the Blue Cross for taking in our dogs when they needed help, and for helping us with the adoption process. Hopefully we won't be looking for a new dog for a long time - but when that time comes, it will be from the Blue Cross. They are caring, professional and clearly take great care in placing their dogs in appropriate homes - which is something i think should be celebrated, not criticized.
Can't speak highly enough of the staff and volunteers here. They do a fantastic job of keeping all the animals happy and healthy. Not only do they care for the basic well being of the animals but they also go to great lengths to provide enrichment for them. This is one shelter where the stress levels of the animals, and consequently the noise, is kept to a minimum. When an animal is adopted they take great care to ensure it goes to a home best suited to it.
