A great place to bring kids and spend a day. Plenty of animals in open areas, birds, reptiles, African animals, Asian elephant and more. Facilities are good. Food is available in limited options but easy to find something you like. We loved the tiger enclosure, seal show and the bird show. We booked in advance but it was busy. For the shows there are queues and some waiting but you would get a good spot as the areas are big. Best is to take the ferry from city. We took the car and it was a long ride into car park and out.

Great place for anyone who loves animals. Taronga zoo is quite big so there is a lot of walking, thus not suitable for people who can't walk long distance. Seal show and bird show are very enjoyable. Please don't forget to wear a hat, put sunscreen on and bring a bottle of water. You can refill drinking water at the zoo.

Taronga Zoo Sydney is it the most beautiful location set on the hillside with breathtaking views. Despite the animals captive, they do a great job trying to provide an j retesting habitat for the animals and it’s so amazing to see them up close. We got an annual pass so we can come back and spend more time exploring.

I love this zoo! Even the ferry trip there is so nice. Not sure if morning is the best time to visit, but when we went there early, it seemed all the animals were active and wide awake. We even got to see 3 tigers up close. There's also tree top activities for brave kids and adults. We bought tickets online which gave us small discounts.

The place is really good. The scenic backdrop definitely adds to the overall experience. If you are doing the sky safari then you need to plan better because it is one-way. At least on that day! The best way would be to travel via ferry and take cable car to the top, and then start exploring all the animal points.

Definitely worth a visit, if you are in sydney! To get the best experience, I would suggest catching the ferry from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo. From there, it's a short stroll up a flight of stairs, and then you catch a sky car to the zoo! The zoo is pretty amazing as well, with it being home to a vast variety of animals. They've got multiple projects going on, including sustainability ones. Once you finish, and if you've got time, I would suggest walking to Bradleys head lookout, to get a view of the Sydney harbour bridge and opera house. Hit a like, if this review was helpful!

Visited this zoo in summer holidays, ample parking for a flat day rate. A whole day is needed to explore the whole zoo, so plan to arrive early. The seal show and bird show is scheduled for 2 time slots in the day. The seal show is just amazing. The bird show is good too. Pick map of the zoo at the entrance or download their app for live navigation as you might miss some areas if map is not followed. The food restaurants have both veg and non veg options and ample seating area. The Sky cable car ride is amazing experience, however wait time is close to an hour.

Decent visit to the zoo. Most animals awake and moving around. Surprising too see a Tasmanian devil moving around.
