Haven't yet accessed this service but one of the receptionists who works here is inconceivably rude. Quite ironic that those advocating against disability discrimination have a staff member who displays consistently degrading behaviour to marginalised people seeking assistance. First time I called she made the assumption I had an intellectual disability and kept suggesting I get help from a service for those impacted by such. I said I didn't; actually, nor did I appreciate the assumption. This time I called she passive aggressively called me silly. for failing to call an advocate within her time limits. I explained that the reasons for this was a long period of violent duress. I'm sure other callers have experienced this and really do not need to encounter unkind behaviour whilst seeking compassion and help from an organisation designed to provide such.
