Good company to deal with, only problem is the carrier that they choose to use. Direct freight I found to be completely incompetent. They had minimal interest in achieving a resolution to assist with our undelivered item I strongly recommend lekker bikes to change their carrier. The one that they are presently using is doing them no favours

I researched which bicycle to buy for months and Lekker ticked all the boxes. Went in today to test ride, bought a 3 speed Jordaan on the spot. Perfect bike for my needs. Staff were absolutely lovely. My new bike is beautiful, comfortable and a dream to ride. After ten years not cycling, I'm very excited to be back on a bike, particularly this bike. Very happy customer here
Still has NOT received my bike (or any response) EIGHT weeks after paying for my bike in full. I paid in full on 08/01/2021. I understand this is COVID time, and they did explain, it will take upto 3 weeks before I can received my bike as they were getting shipment from overseas. Below are my experience. 1. I patiently wait for 4 weeks. After calling the number three times, I finally get to talk to someone. Didn't really solve anything. Just wait is the response. 2. About 6 weeks later, I call again. (noone has ever called to explain things are getting delayed a bit). Parts are here but had some issue with people quitting etc. So it will be ready in one week latest. Noone ever contacts me regarding the progress EVER after one week. 3. Now 8 weeks later. I still have no bike. I still have not ever received any communication from Lekker bike itself. I tried to call today but of course, I cannot get through as usual. The phone just stops ringing itself. I am not a small minded individual. But I seriously think there is some leadership issue in this business right at this moment. If things are not going well (delayed shipment, staff issue etc), don't you think you need to communicate if you promised 3 weeks but not it has been 8 weeks...? I can see all the positive issues here but that is probably when people didnt have issues with receiving their bike. When there is a problem, you need good communication. Or at least offer some compensation (discount etc). I am thoroughly disappointed and will never recommend this shop. I am still waiting for my bike and completely sick of it.
