I don't get out to the west side as often as I'd like but I have only had good experiences here. Good food, great beers and excellent service - can't ask for much more than that.
Great food! Not your standard pub food. Huge wood fire oven. Fab beer & wine list. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We ate in the restaurant which had a lovely cosy atmosphere. Beer hall side was a bit loud for us. We walked in without a reservation no problems. Will go back just to eat through the amazing menu. Highly recommend.
Had the gf Angus burger. Delicious. Delicately spiced and juicy. Bun GF very nice. Substantial size. Will go again.
Great space, good service and atmosphere. Pasta was lovely, kids meal great but steak was pretty small!
The place is great and the food also good. I find that some of the dishes could be priced a bit lower, as they are very simple and low cost to makenin my opinion. What I didn't like was the online menu to order the food. It just ruins the atmosphere. All friends get together and instead of enjoying each other, everybody on the phone looking at the menu and picking dishes, antisocial. After that, all good, but it creates a weird scene at the beginning. The waiters very friendly also.
Food was fine. Prices are unjustifiably expensive... In some cases the menu is kind of false advertising and doesn’t make sense. Some things are insanely expensive whilst others are too cheap? Ie. I bought a cheese board for 12. However it’s labeled on the menu as “cheese board 12”, except if you pay 12 you don’t get any cheese. You get 1 strawberry and a few crackers for 12?. Yet, you can literally get 10 onion rings friend or a bowl of chips for 10? So if I want a cheese board, it costs 24. The 36 cheese board doesn’t even include any cheese. So you’re paying for a board 36 for crackers. Therefore it should be labelled as a “board for 36”, not a “cheese board for 36”. Seems insane you can get a beer and a burger and fries for less than a “board with crackers and no cheese for 36”.
