They should really consider better food because they don’t give many food options for the day therapy classes and I have to say the day therapy classes have really helped me and the teachers are lovely but also they should really consider doing an arts and crafts group as a day therapy group option.
The clinic has a very good vibe. The nursing staff is terrific, if my nurse wasn’t available, the others were quick to offer assistance. I was prescribed a new medication and therapy, I was very lucky to improve that quickly. But however long, I can’t describe how much better I feel. The entire staff was great.
After a horrific experience at Belmont private, New farm clinic has been amazing beyond words. The staff and nurses are caring and I could not have hoped to find a better place for my recovery. My doctor Syed Alam is amazing and has completed turned my life around. Beyond grateful to NFC for their care and understanding.
Kicked out in July 2008 for having "too much technology" was considered a fire hazard. Why let me in the first place with my "technology" to start with? Never followed their own admission protocols. Dr Vlad and Ken Craig (Manager) were really atrocious care givers and a discrace to their profession. Drugged me without my consent with Antipsychotics. Ken Craig called the police on me and they physically threw me out onto the streets after they had drugged me. I was sent packing back to the Gold Coast. Turns out I had a severe dental infection which was the underlying cause of my illness. Only found out in 2015. They happily charged my health fund 8000. They destroyed any chance of real help and recovery as I got no real treatment at all as I was physically thrown out before treatment could begin for having "too much technology", that is the excuse they used. Talk about insanity! I also couldn't get help on the Gold Coast as the New Farm Clinic claimed I was a "fire hazard" (due to having too much technology) to Currumbin Clinic when i sought help elsewhere:( A most disappointing and disgraceful place to seek care. I will be reporting them to the Queensland Health Ombudsman in due course and taking them to court for helping destroy my life when I was at my most vulnerable. I definitely don't recommend New Farm Clinic!
Exceptional nursing staff, great quality food and services. A beautiful place to recover.
Great nurses that care for your well-being actually make an effort to make your stay comfortable. My doctor was also incredible and very knowledgeable about trauma, PTSD, drug & alcohol and how to deal with it. He also has as a broad knowledge of all mental health issues.
Despite what they say on the website, they refuse to take patients with PTSD due to not being geared towards them
