Awesome place to visit, part of Australian Military History. This old WW2 Ammunition Storage facility which is now a Caravan Park called Possum Park Retreat still has ammo bunkers you can go into as well as a few bunkers converted into modern self contained units.well worth a visit for those wanting a unique change in travel accommodation and military buffs alike.

Very friendly place to stay. After arrival we did a walk around the ring road to see the layout, then they opened the museum. Great to see locals putting out history for all to see. We ended up at the camp fire for happy hour and again after dinner. This was opened to all travellers. Caravans, cabins and tents.

Boring and dissaponting maybe good in hey day. Like the way you are only people in park then they put a caravan 4ft away and block your view. Just rude. Couldnt wait to leave

Haven’t been at Possum park for such a long time and I’m just blown away how neat the place is, so well-cared for and groomed the gardens look. The WWII ammunition bunkers that’s revamped into accommodation, the train truck cabins and camping site is absolutely worth visiting and staying over. I would 100% recommend this place for a visit to all caravaners and people looking for accommodation in their travels in South west Qld.

Got a tip-off from the in-laws about checking out Possum Park on our recent road trip. Glad we did. Gem of a place and Julie is a legend. We stayed in one of the self-contained bunkers. I've never stayed in accommodation like it! Room was comfy and so peaceful out in the bush. Highly recommend.

Great place, plenty to look at, and stroll around. Great owners and caretakers. The night sky is amazing. Very reasonable at 25 a night for powered site
