The Royal Society of Victoria is the State’s oldest learned society and has been a part of Australia’s intellectual life since 1854. A PIECE OF VICTORIA'S HISTORY PRESERVED Beautiful old Royal Historical Society building. Great that it hasn't been crowded in by newer buildings. Still very much an "active" building with lots of Historical Society events.
