Our stay at the EQ Tower was ok for a variety of reasons. We booked to stay here through Agoda (as we do with most our bookings) and found the price to be very competitive compared to hotels and other serviced apartments in the city. Once we booked, we received an email with instructions on how to check in. The check in location is at a different place, which wasn’t too far away. The guy who did our checkin wasn’t rude, but was somewhat impersonal. Just did what he had to do and gave us the key. The apartment itself was decently sized with a nice view but wasn’t very clean. Floor was dusty and the balcony wasn’t very pleasant. The apartment did have a dishwasher but no dishwashing detergent that we could find. There was a washing machine (again, no detergent we could find) and there was a stove top, fridge, and microwave. No dryer. The apartment itself had some nice space within it, but the particular one we had (1 bedroom) had an air conditioner in the living room but not the bedroom. We stayed on a hot few days (40 degrees) which meant we had to sleep with the bedroom door open or it would have been too hot. The check out processes for us was just simply dropping the key into the box as the office wasn’t open yet. Overall, an ok stay.
Pros: - Great location, convenient to everything in the city. - Warm, no noise. - Quite clean. - Easy to pick up key and access the building. - Good size apartment for the stay. - Comfortable and clean bed. Cons: - A key drop in the apartment building on check out would be good. - TV was a bit temperamental - turned itself off all the time. - Would be good if there was a clock on the wall somewhere in the apartment! We do have watches and phones but it’s good to be able to see the time where you’re staying. These types of extra touches and actual thought being put into setting up a place would really go a long way towards setting the place apart from others. - Drain a bit smelly in bathroom. - Asked about leaving luggage at the key pick up office on check out for a couple of hours, however we were told there was a fee for this. This is disgraceful and should be free for guests. It’s called good PR.
We had two 2 bedroom apartments over Christmas and New Year for 11 nights. Any questions regarding our stay were answered promptly, great customer service. Check in process was quick and easy. The location was great. Apartments were clean, but a couple marks on walls and 1 of the tables had water damage on surface. The apartments were spacious. My only disappointment was there was no clothes dryer. This was our first experience with Ifstays Melbourne and we will certainly be using them again. Thank you for your hospitality.
Place was perfect for me and my girlfriend, great access to the rooms and security was good, Nice little place for a couple looking to get away, recommend!!.
Comfortable clean and well appointed one bedroom apartment on the 32nd floor. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. Room had all the necessities and was very well located in the CBD walkable to everything including public transport. Key pickup one block over was simple and friendly. We are coming back next month for a week long stay and know we will be comfortable and safe. Construction next door but only active during the working day. Recommended property.
Beautiful clean and modern apartment with a kitchen and everything that I needed. Excellent view! Excellent central location! OUTSTANDING customer service from everyone who helped me!.... I misplaced my key on the morning I needed to check out and although it was a stressful situation Michelle and Silvia the guest relation team and especially Justin at the key office were all SO helpful. They did not once make me feel stupid for losing the key and helped me in every way they could to find it. They were kind and patient and I really felt cared for and supported!! I will definitely be staying here again! THANK YOU!
Great location, spacious rooms and we each had our own bathroom which was great! Easy walk to central CBD, felt secure and Annie and Winnie were very helpful.
