Stayed there almost 2 months while working in Maffra. The room was very clean, the bed is super comfy, the house is a few steps to woolworth and plenty of parking lots. Jen, the host, is very kind! Taking care of everybody.. and of course the atmosphere in the house is very fun (there's a bar inside). Highly recommended.

I stayed 6 weeks with my friend and we really enjoyed living in this hostel, it feels like home. Jen is an exceptional woman, caring for every backpackers. But also the hostel itself is great, very clean and super well equipped. Ah and the housekeeper is super nice too!
Me and my girlfriend stayed at Cambrai for 3 weeks as i was in a rush to finish my 88 days before my visa expired. As soon as i called Jen, she had a jobs lined up for both me and my girlfriend and a lovely private twin room. The hostel really is home away from home, so welcoming, comfortable and clean. Maffra has everything you need and is a lovely little town! We are genuinely sad to be leaving this place but are continuing our travels now as my visa is completed. I can’t recommend the hostel enough, Cheers to everyone at Cambrai for such a lovely stay!
My partner needed to complete his 88 days and we were short for time, when I called Jen she was so easy to speak to and was super lovely and helpful. The hostel is very clean and homely, you are also close to everything you need (such a cute little town). Jen really makes your stay comfortable and is almost always around for whatever you might need. Perfect place to complete your farm work, everyone is respectful and after work/weekends the beer garden is a lovely place to socialise. We honestly didn’t want to leave and I’m sad to think I might not find another hostel so welcoming. I definitely recommend staying here!
I have never in my life felt as at home as I felt at Cambrai. Jen, the owner, is the loveliest person you will ever meet. She cares about each and every backpacker that comes through and she goes to great lengths to make us feel at home. The atmosphere there is inviting to all and the drink prices for residents and non-residents at the bar are very reasonable. I spent 2 months there, which isn’t as long as most, but it really was home. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to find work fast and spend a while.
Great hostel supper close the supermarket and a short walk to the pub! Jen is lovely and helped make the place feel like home. Additional bonus: the beer garden out the front is absolutely lovely!
Jen was really caring. She helped me with transportation when I didn't have and to find a new job when I wasn't happy with mine. And the hostel gave me a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Had a great 4months at cambrai hostel doing my 88 days. Perfect for anyone looking to do farm work with a good atmosphere, facilities and Jen was really helpful with finding work!
