One of the worst train stations in Sydney. What is the point of this station where there are no lifts on any of the platforms?!!!!

Great place to watch trains with grandson especially if interested in trains. You can go on platform as there are no barriers to get in

Facilities at this train station have had minimal upgrades since when the platforms were rebuilt in 1959. There is no lift at this station. There is an automated Opal Card ticketing machine at the station. Minimal shelter from the weather. Toilets are located in the northern platform. The women’s toilet has a small waiting room. There is street parking located on the north and south side of the station. The safest place to park would be on the southern side of the station. Trains that service the western and inner west train line stop at this station. The nearest bus stop is located on Parramatta Road to the north. There are also buses located about a kilometre to the south on Blaxcell Street - these buses (M91) travel to Chester Hill, Padstow, Bankstown and Hurstville. The Carlingford train line services begin and end at Clyde - although in August 2017 the state government flagged that the Carlingford line will be shut down sometime in the future. A Parramatta light rail service will operate north of Parramatta Road and reconnect with the rail corridor at Camellia and travel north to Carlingford. When the light rail service begins it will not be possible to travel from Clyde to Carlingford on a train or light rail service - it is most likely that this station could be shutdown once the Carlingford rail line is replaced. This train station opened in 1882.

A very small and simple station. The starting point of Carlingford line service.Staffs are friendly but sometimes it’s hard to find them.Toilet remains locked up so unfortunately if there is no staff nobody can use the restroom.

An historic station from a bygone era. Perhaps not treated as it once would have been. A working man's station for the vast industries that existed in close proximity during the WW2 years and after. Directly nearby the Clyde Engineering works existed and that plant was responsible for producing many world class steam locomotives including the first five 38 class.
