The manager, Yuna is a caring, charming, able person. Today our doors were being wiped down with detergent! Beds are made, place is cleaned, she motivates her staff and the results are good. Clean floors, nice vibe, good breakfast and comfy beds. Thank you.

Great value for money. Unlimited WiFi, unlimited use of laundry facilities and free laundry powder including dryers, free breakfast, pancakes on Sunday mornings, two free dinners a week as well. Great and helpful staff. Quite clean for a hostel. Common areas are cleaned regularly.

This hostel was a good balance of tranquil and social. The best part about it was the staff for sure. Very welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately our stay was let down by the renovations. There was no forewarning that these were taking place. It meant that there was only 1 shower and toilet available (for the whole hostel or just downstairs I'm not sure). The entrance and hallway have been stripped of...well everything. There was no character there. The kitchen outside is great and there's a lot there for us to help ourselves too. The private room was fine. And that's a 'fine' after sleeping in rain and humid weather in a tent for days on end prior to our stay here. I couldn't find the free parking that the staff was talking about either. Very affordable though and if you just want some sleep for a night before moving on to the next chapter in your adventure then this will provide that.

The 6 bed dorm is filthy, it's so small. Can't be covid safe. Don't stay here. It's like the third world. Why is expensive? Should be 15 per night

Dirty, bad AC, bathroom needs rework, broken ladders in room, poorly equipped kitchen. However: friendly staff, lot of room outside, regular events and free barbecue on Tuesday. The breakfast is really nice as well. Furthermore laundry is free of charge. This hostel offers great value for money, but must be avoided in the wet season because inside it's unbearable. The worst thing is that a lot of the issues here could be fixed with just a bit of investment (Time and a little bit of money; ladders and locks are cheap...)

I checked this hostel's website for availability before i called a couple of days ago and there were multiple vacancies for the dates i wanted to book for. When i called i was told by the manager on duty, Pete, that they're fully booked and that it's their protocol and policy to not take bookings from Australian's who are 35 years of age or older. I'm going to lodge a complaint of unlawful discrimination with the Australian Human Rights Commission and the Northern Territory Anti-Discrimination Commission. I stayed at this hostel some months ago and the bed was very uncomfortable because the steel bed frame slats were bent out of shape and sticking into my back and the mattress was very old and thin so that didn't help. It was one of the worst nights sleep i had in my whole life.
