This was a nice place to visit with all the natural shade. Now you have security riding around on motorcycles and sitting watching. The rubbish bins are all padlocked so you have to take any rubbish with you.

Wow. Great selection of herbs, potted plants, flowering plants etc.. Staff are extremely knowledgeable of the plant side and how ,where to for plants. This nursery also give back to the community. They have like ecosystem talks at the nursery, kids area etc

Great place for people to go and it was a great place to volunteer when I was there a few years back.

Excellent knowledge and service. This is the best nursery I have been to in Brisbane,l. They carry a lot of natives and edible plants. The staff are very helpful and the varieties are great. I am looking forward to the next time I have to go in to pick up some more plants.

I have seen many gardens all around the world. Your review will depend on past experience. This one is more "Junk-yard-dog" than organic-Byron-Bay-hip. The organic vegetables are growing above lead polluted soil which is separated by a thin film of plastic. They say they test the conditions once a year, but it would only take an insect to eat through the plastic and a plot would be contaminated. It seems the council had an expanse of land and wanted to lease or sell it, & and this was a way to get that done. There is an old indoor armchair outdoors and a few children's tricycle type bikes with weatherworn sharp edged plastic which should be disguarded, but the man who oversees the kids activities claims, it is words to this effect- rustic and homeschool style learning. They've never had an accident. Maybe they are waiting for one to happen? If a childcare centre inspector walked through the children's section it might not pass the safety test. Their "Work for Centrelink" ( Social Security) recipients program in its original inception was intended to teach job seekers new skills. These days it's more like a cost cutting measure for local councils so they can buy plants at wholesale prices for their parks and gardens while saving on labour costs. Often there aren't enough tasks for everyone, so the job seekers are often killing time. The Job Seeker Providers know they must push job seekers through these plant houses in order to have partial government funding allocated. It's a wroght iron pitch fork. There aren't any indigenous leaders here and I wonder why, being the best authority to talk about nature. Being a descendant of real farm management and ownership myself, I have an inkling of what a real orderly hobby farm should look like. But also more than a rose coloured glasses view.
