Hard to beat 1 clothing sales

I came to donate toys and clothes during business hours and the store manager asked to open the bag and have a look. He rummaged through everything and stated that it would cost him more to dump the items than to sell them. The clothes and toys weren’t damaged or soiled. I took it all back and he continued to touch and look at the items. I was very disgusted with his behaviour! I took the items to Lifeline and there was no issues.

My nana and I went to check out this op shop today and all clothing was 2 each! Awesome items, fantastic prices and nice staff. Not sure if the clothing is always 2, however, I did see a sign saying that this particular salvos op shop is a discount store, so could be standard that the clothing is always 2 each. Anyway, we got some awesome deals and I walked out with 25 pieces of clothing for 50! Bargain!

Great place to come for a bargain, prices are ok for most things. However men's clothing prices are sometimes a little steep.

Helpful people and lots to look at

After moving to a small unit and doing a ruthless cull of my wardrobe, I had 2 large plastic crates of very expensive unworn or barely-used clothing that I wanted to donate to a worthy cause. I chose this op shop because the Salvos are always there when there’s human disasters of any kind. What a mistake! I will never donate to these people again. I had to ask the manager to help me carry the heavy boxes from my car to the shop. He was really rude to me. I didn’t mind him checking the crates for suitability, especially when it was obvious my donations were properly laundered and good quality. But he showed no appreciation at all, in fact it was like a chore or a pain for him to have to deal with me. As well as that, he complained repeatedly and at great length about my car smelling of petrol fumes, which neither I nor my mechanic have ever detected. And this shop is located in an industrial complex frequented by large trucks. I explained that I am a pensioner trying to afford things like a car and car repairs after major life changes and disasters of my own, but he wasn’t listening. He made me feel quite humiliated, and like he was doing me a huge favour by accepting my “junk”. I was not expecting undying gratitude for donating, but neither was I ready for being disparaged over the status of my hard-earned vehicle. A simple thank you would have been nice. I did not even get that, just a grumbled “okay then”. These shops operate on the back of donations from the public. In future I’ll be finding a charity that can at least show simple common courtesy and manners to its supporters.

Just full of overpriced junk. Items overpriced, even with chips, cracks. I drove half hr to try this place....it appears it's the Salvos store that receives all the lower end items (but still charge too much). Staff were friendly.
