I initially gave Yarra Bend 5 stars. A great golfing destination with fantastic facilities. Recently I was practicing at the range when the staff turn off all the lights and trackers 10 minutes before their advertised close time. Given I still had 25 balls to hit this was quiet annoying. The reason you pay the extra dollars at the range is for the tracking capabilities. Slightly disappointing.

Call me biased but I’ve been playing golf at Yarra Bend public golf course for over 30 years, yeah the layout has changed to allow for the driving range and practice facilities but the condition of this course especially the greens never disappoints. The pro shop staff are always friendly even at 630am on a Sunday morning.

Played here today was raining all day and the course had some suprisely good drainage the greens were very well kept. Fairways also well kept. This is one of my favourite courses in melb, has a good vibe will be coming back to play again !!
