My wife and I have decided to use hatch as we liked the idea of going Private but didn't want to be 10k out of pocket as we would be if we decided to use a private OB. The shared care between OB and midwives it's a great alternative to both traditional private maternity arrangements and the public system. From the very first interaction at reception we were made to feel welcomed and valued as a client. The midwife we saw in particular was friendly, informative and understanding of our needs. As others have pointed out the parking is a bit expensive and a pain to get in and out of, however you'd experience this with any medical service operating out of mater Hospital, and when compared with the 's saved over a traditional private birth, the parking costs are a non issue in my opinion.

We had a great experience with Hatch! The midwives and obstetricians were all very knowledgeable and the ladies on reception were so friendly. We will be using them again next time!
My husband & I recently welcomed our first child in June with the help of the team at Hatch. We could not have received better care throughout our pregnancy, delivery & follow up appointments. I could not recommend them more highly. Everyone in the team was so lovely - Midwives, Obstetricians, as well as Anastasia & Ellen on reception. There is no doubt that we will be using Hatch again for our next bub.
I had the best experience with Hatch for my 3rd pregnancy . (I wish I had gone with them for all pregnancies!) All the staff are so friendly and thorough. The admin, midwives and doctors all made me feel comfortable and calm. I cannot fault the care I received. I found the shared care between midwife and doctor to be the perfect mix! It almost makes me want to have another baby with them...almost.
We recently had our first baby with Hatch. Cannot recommend highly enough. The girls on the front desk genuinely have a love for children, so much so we had to visit after 5 months so they could see him again. Service throughout was amazing. Will be back again!
Hatch Private Maternity has a fantastic model of care. The team approach is what lead me to choose Hatch initially. The midwives and obstetricians are all incredible but the admin team is what sets Hatch apart. They always go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable, appointments are scheduled and greet you with a happy smile.
Parking is a pain, expensive and far away. Appointments was never on time and good luck being kept up-to-date with blood tests/results. Won't use them again....
My wife had been using this service, it’s essentially a mid wife service, not obstetrician. Don’t expect to see an obstetrician virtually at all during your time there - we were told it’s not part of their ‘business structure’. Great to be treated as a profit number once again.. See below from their own website - we didn’t have this experience.... They get 3 stars as the mid wives are nice, just not what we expected to see every visit. “Your Hatch pregnancy experience” With Hatch, you can expect your antenatal visits to be shared between midwives and obstetricians.
