What an outstanding Easter weekend! This was a truly awesome experience. Great coaches, people and waves. Personal attention & feedback each session. Great support for beginners & great tips and support for those with a little more experience. The trips to the different local beaches & Mermaid Pool made the trip feel like a real adventure. The rooms were super comfy... especially the beds! The breakfasts and bbq... so delicious. Thanks Sam, Daniel, Luke, Ryan & Ashleigh you guys are amazing. Really disappointed with AST. I was just outside the 7 day cancellation window (hours) and was refused even a partial refund for the easter surf camp (600). I am an essential health worker (youth mental health) and was asked to work Easter weekend and felt like I should because my team was really under-staffed. The person I spoke to (Sam) was uninterested, bordering on rude.They took my money. It all left a really bad taste in my mouth and left me 600 down which is probably what I earned the entire weekend. I understand there needs to be a deadline for cancellations but I also feel a degree of flexibility and understanding would of gone a long way, particularly with 6.5 days notice on an already fully booked tour and a genuinely important reason to cancel. A partial refund would of seemed a fair compromise given the circumstances. They seemed really happy to of taken my money, and that's all I got from my entire interaction with the company. Really bad customer service on the phone and really bad interpretation of the situation. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
The weather was great The instructurs Matt and Zach and Heather in the kitchen was amazing We had such a wonderful time that i will always reminder im my life And a big thank you goes to Mike how takes lovley pictures and movies with a drone
After the 2020 Easter surf camp got cancelled because of COVID, we were able to partake in a week-long surf camp last week. Sam and Ash were extremely thankful for our patience and flexibility when, in fact, we were incredibly grateful for the upgrade, and the experience itself far exceeded our expectations. We arrived with 15 -20 hours of surfing under our belt, and received extremely personalised coaching to help us on our journey to become intermediate surfers. Daniel our coach was unbelievably nice, funny and dedicated to us improving. We can't wait to go back and would certainly wholeheartedly recommend AST to anyone who is thinking of taking their surfing to the next level! Thanks again @AST!!
If you just want to start to surf, but you don't know how, I recommend you the Australian Surf Tours. We spent an enjoyable and amazing weekend surrounded by fantastic beaches and kangaroos in Bendalong's peninsula. This place is perfect for learning, because you can choose the best beach depending on the wind and the weather conditions of the day. Besides, the people from AST were very friendly and profesional to us during the weekend. Thanks to all their team, especially to Ruben and Daniel for their teachings, to Tom for his beautiful photos, and Lili for her fantastic meals.
Please think twice before booking with this company. They are ripping people off! If there are any problems or cancellations they will just keep your money and ignore you. After they cancelled our camp due to covid19 they never gave us a refund! Since March they still owe me and my friend over 800. I tried to give them time to pay the money back however they do not react to my emails. So here I am beeing forced to make this public, so others are warned about AST. They are indeed just taking advantage of the fact that we are no longer in Australia. Sam and his team clearly not care about their customers. Just taking the money of people and keeping it like it belongs to them. If you cant offer what people paid you for just pay the money back, like every other company does! I got no words for how disappointed and angry I am!
I went on the trip last weekend and honestly it has been one of the best trips I ever did in my life. The beautiful beaches, the amazing camping site, the awesome instructors Matt and Zach and the food by Heather (pancakes!) just made this something I will take with me for the rest of my life. 100% surfing every weekend after this!
A big thanks to Heather and the whole team of Australia surf tour, we spend an awesome weekend. Very good mood, relax, surf kangoroos, fire bomb, meeting fun guys from all over the world, I highly recommend
