Fantastic food and staff! When we went, a staff member had seriously recently injured themselves while on shift. The manager was extremely professional and kind throughout the ordeal - both to staff and customers. On top of that, the food was incredible and the wine even better! I cannot highly recommend this venue enough. Definitely worth a visit.

Food was really tasty at an affordable price. We went for the "Feed me 2" course (69 pp). The courses were beautifully presented and the staff were very attentive, with each dish coming out at a reasonable pace. Our favourite dish was the Maryland duck. Portion sizes are not big so if you are after a big feed then you may be a bit disappointed. The only thing that was really annoying were all the flies buzzing around in the room.

Amazing food. In a heritage building but modern inside. Quaint and small - but the food is amazing. Definitely worth trying out.

One of my favorite restaurants in Wollongong. It's on the pricier side of things so we go here to celebrate / when family visits about 2-4 times a year on average. My advice is go intending to order one of the set menus - saves having to choose, whilst being able to sample interesting dishes. There is always a range of interesting foods to eat/try. And the wine list is great match to the cuisine. Booking in advance is recommended

My husband and I had the "Feed me 2" degustation. Food were good but not great. The complementary entree was roti with yellow curry. The roti tastes and feels like from the frozen packet. The rest of the dishes have great flavours but missing some crunch textures especially the fish dish, which would be great if the fish skin is crispy. The major disappointment is the portion size. All the dishes are small and to be shared between 2 people. It seems more appropriate if the mains are same size on the dish but for 1 person. I am a small eater and I was still hungry after the 6 course meal. It would be great to have some kind of carbs that goes along with the meal. Overall it is quite an overpriced meal.

We went for an anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it. We ate the 7 course degustation menu and although we initially thought the portions were small we were sated at the end. Lovely fusions of flavours and textures. This is almost fine dining without the pomp.

A lot of people saying it "sets the standard" in Wollongong, probably true but it doesn't mean the standard is that high. Yes a little pricey in comparison to some Sydney eateries but that's ok, good on Rookie for being different and developing great tasting food. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing (tuna was a highlight). A nice wine list but it would be great to have a bar for a pre dinner drink or somewhere to wait for the prior dinner service to finish other than outside - considering it was raining. The only concern was while the front of house was well presented considering the buildings age, bathrooms do need to have spider webs removed along with the dust hanging out of exhaust fans ..... its just good housekeeping.

Incredible food but still disappointed.. we waited an hour between entree and main and 45 minutes to order a new drink, we got sick of waiting so my partner went to the bar to order more drinks himself. We ended up going somewhere else for desert because we didn't want to wait another hour for it. Maybe it was just an off night but for a 200 bill we were quite disappointed with the night.
