Waiting for 4 hours in emergency, now I know definition of Emergency, good job!!!!
very attentive staff super friendly and highly professional quick to been attended to
Slow, slow and slow. I'm assuming it's a short staff issue but it was painfully slow. The staff are doing all they can
General waiting time 3-4 hours. I had an egg sized inner bleeding from the artery after surgery, blood pressure up to 175. Discharged myself after 2 hours waiting as I couldnt sit in a chair without being able to stretch my leg for another 1-2 hours. Most patients didnt look like they were in an emergency situation. Not a good place to seek for help if you are in a critical condition.
Just next level hopeless. You are best to stay home and die than come here. And i wish i was joking.
Visited on Friday evening and of course it was very busy and not being an urgent case we tended to get lost in the system and ended up having an unnecessary x-ray and waiting for over 4 hours not to have the procedure done because the Neurological Registrar was tied up with Operations. He contacted us so we revisited the Hospital with fear on the Sunday Morning arriving at 10.45 am. Things went more smoothly and we were consulted by an impressive Emergency Doctor by the name of Alex. Alex was efficient, understanding and thorough .
Terrible patient care! Waited 5 hours in waiting room, eventually got taken through (complications during pregnancy) then placed me in a reclining chair/bed which was awful! An hour later was taken through for an ultrasound. 2 hours later a nurse asked who I was and apologised saying nobody knew I was there hence the doctor not seeing me. They then make me wait for ANOTHER hour in the waiting room before I was fed up and decided I’m better off waiting to see my doctor. I asked for my cannula to be removed, they told me I had to wait as there was others in front of me so I proceeded to leave, 3 nurses chased me out saying they would call the police if I leave with the cannula in... absolute awful experience! Went to Shellharbour straight from Wollongong, and was seen right away. You are better off dying at home then going to that joke of a place
