Great fun, lots to do and learn. Best of all is watching as the guitar slowly takes shape. My guitar is fantastic, fully set up - BY ME (oh ... and Nick). Good chat, not too hard and help is always at hand. Do yourself a favour ....

I took the weekend course with a friend and couldn't recommend it more highly. Nick was a brilliant teacher and despite our novice level of woodworking skill, we walked out with 2 beautiful archtop guitars that look and sound as good as any I've played. I'll definitely be back as soon as I make space for another guitar
Fantastic experience and an exceptionally run course by Nick. Loved the hands on 2 day course. Highly recommend
Myself and a friend buit a guitar each as part of Nick's weekend course. Everyone did all their own work with Nick supervising an on hand for any questions. The experience of setting up all the components is a incredibly useful skill for guitarists to have. All 4 participants of the course left with fantastic guitars and all incredibly happy with the course Highly recommend to everyone interested.
I really enjoyed the guitar building course. It was a relaxed friendly atmosphere and i learned how to do a professional set up on my guitars. The guitar i built sounds great and was a quality instrument and Nick was very helpful and has a very professional workshop. I enjoyed being able to customize colours and shapes to build my own unique guitar. I would definitely recommend this course for any person of any skill level. I thought i already knew a lot but was surprised how much more i learned. Great value for money
I purchased my mandolin from Nick at his Brunswick location in 2011. He converted a neck to left hand for me with no fuss and off I went into musical bliss. It sounds great and it really suits the Australian/celtic folk music I play. The 'dinky di' Australian jarrah timber body makes the sound cut through at noisy pub sessions. The sitka spruce top adds a sustained and sensitive lasting tone. The neck made from maple with a jarrah finger board is rock solid and will not warp in the aussie climate. The wider neck is comfortable to play and suits my style of playing, coming from a tenor banjo background. I was so impressed that I bought another one in 2013 as a spare to put away because this instrument will become a collectors item in years to come. You will not be disappointed if you pick up this instrument and play it. I feel proud knowing that this locally made instrument using mainly Australian timbers. It is extremely price competitive compared to the overseas manufacturers that use 'soft' rain forest timbers which will struggle here in our dry climate over time. Neil Jolly .
