I use slightly older Nikon equipment and I have received excellent service from Chris over the period of time that I have been dealing with him. He is helpful, knowledgeable and generous with his time. His charges have been reasonable and I have been very happy with his work. Highly recommended.

Was gifted a Lomo'Instant Camera for Christmas from my fiance. Took it to an Australia Day celebration when a friend of ours dropped it. The batteries no longer sat securely in the camera and ultimately wasn't working. Took it to multiple camera stores to ask for repair prices to confirm whether or not I should just purchase a new one. Was advised to take it to Whilton Camera Services saying "He'll be able to take a proper look at it." Arrived and Chris, the owner, asked to take a look at it. He took my camera to the back and returned saying "It's all fixed." I insisted to pay in some way but he said it was no problem. Even gave me a free camera strap to stop this from happening again. Saved me what could have been 120 for repairs/a new camera. Don't let the cluttered, lived-in storefront fool you, this guy knows what he's doing.
Hi Whilton I'm very sorry to hear that apparently your main technician Chris is in hospital. Although I had sent in my camera at least 1 and a half months ago and had paid for the 45 inspection fee and having called numerous times and finally hearing that he's unable to repair it due to being in the hospital, WILL I GET MY Inspection fee refunded please? It seems like nothing has been achieved in the last 1 and a half months yet he goes into hospital only a week or 2 ago. Please can you recommend somewhere that perhaps offers as good as repairs as you guys seeing that your main technician is in hospital. I've been waiting patiently for my camera to be repaired but seems like I've gotten no where and now short of money. what can you offer me?
Overcharged for the simple job of attaching a new mount on a lens. They took ages to do it and after it was done the lens had focus issues. I could have bought another lens for close to the same price as the fix. I’d never go to these guys again, there’s plenty of other good camera service shops nearby. Look elsewhere on google maps.
Popped in to see if Chris could fix my camera because it wouldn’t turn on. Turned out my charger was broken and the camera was working fine. No charge for the service and seems like quite a nice guy.
