Dr Shanker has seen my twins since birth, now 5yrs old. Highly recommend.
Saw Dr Shanker today who was very clear, polite and personable. Took the time to explain everything in simple terms, while always having a smile on his face. It's clear he is very knowledgeable and we wouldn't even consider finding any other pediatrician. Not sure where these one star reviews have come from because the experience my wife and I had with our 10 week old boy was exactly what you hope to have when seeing any doctor, consultant or specialist.
I never leave bad Reviews but I just had a less than five minute appointment with the doctor and got ADHD medication without looking at school papers or my check list just a few comments from me. Gave me hardly any information and when I asked questions about symptoms and research behind this medication he told me he told me everything already either give him the medication or don't. Ive left not knowing anything except he might not be hungry and it lasts four hours. And come by back if it doesn't work or he needs more in six months. I'll need to do a lot of research and speak to other doctors. My gp took a lot of time to explain as much as he could and told me paediatrician would tell me everything I needed to know and be the best person to answer any questions. I'm concerned about other parents seeing him. I know he is cheaper than other doctors but should he maybe finish up and retire if he is unwilling to answer questions about medications and diagnosis?
Very rude doctor. Doesn't have a patience to listen to the problems. Very unprofessional and very rude human being. I have never seen a pediatrician as rude as him. I will never think of taking my daughter to him again.
What a shame - not sure what happened to him as he used to be nice. Saw him today for my 4yr old son and he is such a rude an unprofessional Doctor. i will never take my children anywhere near him again. Completely dismissed me and spoke over the top of me constantly. Didn't even bother to read the medical reports and told me x rays don't tell you anything!!! he just pigeon holed my son which is very upsetting. I will be reporting him to the medical board. he shouldn't be in this field the way he conducts himself.
Excellent doctor. Very patience and spend quite good time n listens. Very good diagnosis. Seeing him from last 10 years.
We have been seeing him for my older children for the past 3 years. I had twins prematurely and have been seeing him for them also since their long hospital stay. We love his honesty. Always happy to answer questions and explains his reasoning and actions. Not quick to prescribe medication. Very hard to find a doctor as thorough and knowledgeable as Dr Shankar.
