WACPA was founded on June 19th, 2014. It is a not-for-profit, non-political Western Australian organization for all professionals associated with the Chinese and Western Australian petroleum industry. The Association's founding corporate members are China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), China Offshore Oil Engineering Corporation (COOEC) and China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec). Any prospective cooperation opportunity is more than welcomed to be discussed for further information. And also feel free to talk about this Association with any of your friends whom you think might be interested in the WA-China cooperation in the WA/China oil and gas industry. Our members are oil/gas professionals with an interest in Chinese oil/gas and its association with similar industry in Western Australia. Members include but not limited to executives, managers, earth scientists, petroleum engineers, facility engineers, environmental engineers, IT specialists, commercial specialists and business developers from oil/gas companies, service companies, government agencies, research organizations and universities. The aims of this Association are: •To promote meaningful connections and communications between professionals from the Western Australian oil and gas companies in WA with different cultural backgrounds; •To provide networking for members by organizing social and group events; •To share best practices by organizing technical symposia and roundtable discussions; •To help new immigrates and students discover their careers in Western Australia.
